Scanning China Project

In 2005 I began working extensively in Beijing and Shanghai, teaching photography, exploring Chinese pictorial culture, and producing commercial photography for clients in China and the United States.

This project is an exploration of how it felt to be there, an emotional history of my work in China, and a meditation on what happens when cultural currents come together.
